Basic Membership Rates Effective January 1, 2008

USFA membership is mandatory It must be paid in the first signup period - $50.00 per year
(Insurance provider, American Fencing magazine, US Fencing News Letter)

Monthly Membership: $75.00 per month 
(Choose the months that you will participate)                                                                          

Annual discount membership if paid in 4 installments: $700.00 - ($175.00 per quarter (Membership must be maintained all 4 quarters and paid in the first week of the calendar quarter)

Annual membership:
$630.00 annually (Must be paid in the first week of January)

 

 

 

 

Family discount: 
20% discount for three or more members.
10% discount for two members.

Group Classes:

Monday:

 Sabre Class-Novice to intermediate All ages 7:00 pm-8:30 pm  
     As of January 1, 2007, the class is at 7:00 - 8:00 
 
Footwork level 8 (There is a $100.00 fee for this group class per quarter)
This Class is taught by Alex Fotiyev and Tom Ciccarone and is an introductory and intermediate sabre class that offers footwork and bladework as well as time for open fencing

Sabre Round Robin  8:00 - closing (free for all members)
This follows the sabre class 

Tuesday:

Footwork 7:00 pm - 7:30 pm (free class for all members) 
  As of January 1, 2007, the class is at 7:00 - 7:30 
This class is taught by Orest Stetsiv and Tom Ciccarone and is applicable to all weapons.

Wednesday:

Foil Class-Novice - Intermediate
Ages 12-18  7:00 pm-8:00 pm
 
(There is a $100.00 fee per quarter for this group class)
This class is taught by Alex Fotiyev and Erik Hansen and is a novice to intermediate level class and can be used as a stepping stone to competitive fencing. The class is followed with 1 hour of open fencing.
Footwork 7:00-7:30 (Free class for all members) Footwork level 6 
This class is taught by Alex Fotiyev and Tom Ciccarone and is applicable to all weapons
Bladework 7:30-8:00
This class is taught by Alex Fotiyev and Tom Ciccarone and is applicable to all weapons

Adult Foil Class-Novice to Intermediate 
7:00-8:00 pm - Adult ed and parents of fencers
This class is taught by Tom Ciccarone and is a novice to intermediate level class. It is a recreational class but can be used as a stepping stone to competitive fencing. The class is followed with 1 hour of open fencing.

Thursday:

Foil Tactical Class 4:30-5:30 Ages 10-16 yrs
This is an advanced tactical class. 
($8 fee per each class attended)

Round Robin Fencing for Kids 5:30-8:30

Footwork 7:30-8:00 (free class for all members) Footwork level 6
This Class is led by Alex Fotiyev and is applicable to all weapons.

Friday:

Modern Epee Class 7:30-8:30 Ages 12-Adult
(There is a $100.00 fee per quarter for this group class)

REAL ROUND ROBINS
EPEE TOURNAMENT 7:30pm
First Friday of the Month-Open (All senior USFA members may enter)
Close of registration 7:30

The Real Round Robin schedule is a guideline and may change due to holiday and area scheduling constraints. Consult www.askfred.net for up to date correct scheduling information. 

Real Round Robin tournaments are USFA-CT DIV events and will be conducted by USFA rules. Any USFA member may participate. medals to 3 places will be awarded and appropriate classifications will be earned. The entry fee is $3.00 per event. Full equipment and USFA  membership required to participate.

Epee Class Novice to Intermediate all ages 7:30 pm-8:30 (There is a $100.00 fee per quarter for this group class)
This Class is taught by Chris Aher and is a Novice to intermediate level class and can be used as a stepping stone to competitive fencing

Footwork 7:30-8:00 (free class for all members) Footwork level 4
This class is led by Chris Aher and is applicable to all weapons.

Saturday:

Foil ELITE Tactical Class 7:45am - 10:30am (There is a $20 fee for this class)

Pee Wee Foil Class 10:00 am - 11:00 am (There is a $100.00 fee per quarter for this class)
This Class is taught by Tom Ciccarone, Erik Hansen and Jayme Smith and is a novice to to intermediate class. 

Footwork 10:00-10:30 (Free class for members) Footwork level 5
This Class is led by Tom Ciccarone and Erik Hansen and is applicable to all weapons.

Youth Sabre Class 11:30-1:00 Ages 8-14 aprox. This is a competitive sabre class to be used as a stepping stone to competitive fencing and is led by Alex Fotiyev.
(There is a $100.00 fee per quarter for this class)

Footwork 11:30-12:00 (Free class for members) Footwork level 5
This Class is led by Alex Fotiyev and is applicable to all weapons.

Advanced Competitive Sabre Round Robin 12:00-2pm (free to all members)

Advanced Footwork/ tactical discussions/ sports psychology workshops Footwork level 10

Epee Tactical 1:00-2:00 pm
This class is taught by Tom Ciccarone and Alek Ulanovskiy.
Advanced FootWork 2:00-3:00pm This Class is led by Tom Ciccarone and other instructors  Level 10 class
Foil YOUTH Tactical 3:00-4:00 This Class is led by Tom Ciccarone
($20 fee for a 2 hour block, $25 for 3 hours)

 

OPEN FENCING ALWAYS-8 GROUNDED STRIPS

 

The Mon., Wed., Fri. and Sat. class format is:

1/2 hour footwork 

1/2 hour blade work

1 hour controlled bouting

Open fencing - no limit

The footwork segment of each group class is open to all members at no charge.

 

For members, group classes are $100.00 for 10 sessions.

Private Lessons:

  • $35.00 per lesson
  • Lessons must be scheduled
  • Multi-lesson discounts available

Private Lesson Guidelines:

  1. Must be scheduled and paid for in advance by the month
  2. May be affected by weather
  3. Will be made up in the event of coach cancellation
  4. May be shortened due to student tardiness in the event of tight scheduling
  5. If paid for by the full quarter there will be a 1 week discount
  6. Are due in the event of student no show
  7. Student must be a member of CFC
  8. Student must be a member of USFA

Please do not frivolously book lessons. Consult your calendar and plan accordingly. There is no proviso or refund for emergency cancellation.

      Do you have what it takes to be an elite fencer?

1 lesson per week (48 weeks) 
$2100.00 annually This is a savings of 0ver $210.00 per year!
$2820.00 annually (includes the elite class) This is a savings of 0ver $520.00 per year!

2 lessons per week (96 lessons)
$3700.00 annually This is a savings of 0ver $290.00 per year!
$4420.00 annually (includes the elite class) This is a savings of 0ver $600.00 per year!

3 lessons per week (144 lessons)
$5300.00 annually This is a savings of 0ver $370.00 per year!
$6020.00 annually (includes the elite class) This is a savings of 0ver $680.00 per year!

Full membership is included in the Elite fees!

 

Elite Fencers must:

  1. Pay annually (unless other arrangements are made)
  2. Fence at least 3 days per week or as many days as there are lessons, whichever is greater.
  3. Attend the advanced footwork class on Saturday (7:45am - 10:30am) This counts as 1 day
  4. Compete in at least one NAC event per year.
  5. Compete in at least one Sectional event per year
  6. Compete in all Divisional qualifying rounds and all Division Championships
  7. Attend Summer Nationals
  8. Fencers must attend all lessons to the best of their ability (cancellations will be re-scheduled whenever possible)
  9. Maintain a "B+" or higher scholastic average in school

Elite Fencer will Get:

  1. Equipment discounts of 10% off all items purchased through CFC
  2. CFC Elite arm band/patch
  3. Free admittance into the Referee Course
  4. Employment as a referee if desired

 

Competition Coaching Rates:

All expenses are to be paid by fencers ( Travel, meals, hotel etc.)

Plus $200.00 per day per diem 

Divided by the number of fencers coached in individual events.
